The Target Beauty Bag

About a month ago, Target Style ran an ad for their Summer Beauty Bag giveaway which had samples of "must have" products for the summer. Like anyone else who likes free stuff, I logged in through Facebook, gave them my information and they confirmed that my beauty bag would be here in 6-8 weeks. Fast forward to June 12th and this is what comes in. Was there anything that I could use in here? Well, let's find out.
Okay, inside this bag were the following

From (L-R): Target beauty coupons, Aveeno Daily Detoxifying Scrub, Neutrogena Ultrasheer Sunblock, TRESemmé Split Remedy Shampoo, TRESemmé Split Remidy Conditioner, Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butter in Peach Parfait (barely visible, but it's behind the bag) and Garnier Fructis Color Shield Shampoo and Conditioner. Oh, and the bag it came in.

So this is what they had advertised:

As you can see, the Color shield, lip butter and Aveeno moisturizer was expected, and I received the first two items, but not the moisturizer because as you can tell, they sent the scrub instead. By deduction, you can tell that the sunblock and the TRESemmé shampoo and conditioner was a bit unexpected, but I like these kind of surprises, so I rolled with it.

Let me start off with the products I'll never ever use-

So, this is the lip butter when I tried it on. I'll never ever use this because peach looks TERRIBLE against my skin. I'll just stick to my reds and purples when it comes to lipstick. Oh and the glitter. I'm anti-glitter and this had so much glitter and sparkle that it would be much better suited for the Twilight trilogy. This is just a personal preference on my part.

TRESemmé Split Remedy Shampoo and conditioner-I generally stay away from shampoo and conditioners with sulfates and even if I did, my hair routine is established, so I wont use this.

Garnier Fructis Color Shield Shampoo and Conditioner-See comment about the Split Remedy Shampoo and Conditioner. Also, I don't color my hair and by looking at the ingredients, this would dry my hair out to something serious.

This leaves the products that I'd consider buying in the future-The Aveeno scrub and the Neutrogena sunblock. The Aveeno scrub was pretty okay,  it wasn't grainy like at St. Ives scrub and it smells pretty good and the sunblock has an SPF of 70, so this would be very useful out in the sun. Everything else, I'll just give it to friends for their overnight bags.

In the future, I hope they come out with a bag for POC with products that we could use that better compliment those who have pigment in their skin. However, I appreciated how this bag introduced me to new products.

Now if you excuse me, I want to have to need to wipe this lip butter off. Stupid glitter. -__-

Until next time, be well.
