An ode to Apple Cider vinegar

This can do more than make your food taste good! :-D

Apple Cider Vinegar has always been a fixture in my house as an ingredient for salad dressing , but what we discovered recently is that it can be SOOOO helpful for beauty and plumbing . Below are 2 ways it can be added in your beauty regimen and one way that it can unclog a sink.
1) Treating zits
To use apple cider vinegar to treat zits, all you need to do is put some vinegar on a cotton ball or cotton round and apply to the affected area. See how quickly your zit goes away now!

2) Reducing frizzy hair and an itchy scalp
Dilute one part vinegar to four parts water in an empty bottle. After you have shampooed your hair, pour the contents onto your hair and scalp and then rinse off in cool water.

3) Unclog your sink
Apple cider vinegar can save you money if your sink is clogged (I speak from experience!). All you do is pour some baking soda down the sink and then pour the apple cider vinegar down the afflicted drain. Close the drain and let it sit for 20-30 minutes. While you wait, boil some hot water. After the time is up, pour hot water down the sink and watch it work. If it doesn't work the first time, don't be afraid to do it again! When I first learned of this, we had to do this process about 3 times before the sink was totally cleared (and I'm proud to report that the sink is still clear to this day).
I hope these tips can help you out in your everyday life. Do you know of other ways you can use apple cider vinegar? If you do, don't be afraid to comment! :-D

  1. You can also add baking soda to the non-harsh chemical mix, its very effective.
